I signed up to learn some basics, which i certainly did, but also had a great time. it feels like you are in a friends kitchen just hanging out with a glass of wine! I already cooked a couple of the dishes for friends and am planning on going back

Nice Person On Yelp

So impressed! Not only was the food delicious, but I came out with a lot of respect for our chef (and owner) Rebecca). It was so cool meeting a young, entrepreneurial woman so full of life!

Lover of The Social Table and Yelp Reviewer

Of the 131 restaurants reviewed thus far, Social Table is the best...Food was incredible! She prepares dishes that are simple enough to be replicable at home, but sophisticated enough in tastes and preparation techniques that you actually feel like you're learning something.

Enthusiastic Yelper

It takes an amazing place in order for me to give 5 stars. But The Social Table and Rebecca deserve 5 and much more.

Meet The Chef And Owner

Growing up in Southern California, some of Rebecca Goldfarb’s greatest childhood memories are of cooking a meal with her mother and sitting down to enjoy it with the rest of the family.  Meals at the Goldfarb house were rooted in tradition and always brought people together. That sense of cooking and sharing stuck with Rebecca.

While studying Art History in college, Rebecca’s passion for food was always with her.  She would host dinner parties for her friends who would take turns choosing the menu.  Word started to spread of Rebecca’s famous dinner parties and chairs were continually added to the table.  Her enthusiasm for cooking and hospitality was infectious and she knew she had to pursue a career in food.  She headed back to California where she received a Culinary Arts degree from the Le Cordon Bleu certified California Culinary Academy in San Francisco.

After a few years working “front of the house” at restaurants Rebecca moved to New York and started The Social Table to get people into the kitchen and excited about cooking.
